§ 4-18. Standards of vehicle and equipment.

(a)

All motor vehicles used for the purpose of providing ambulance service hereunder shall be designed and constructed to transport ill, sick or injured persons in comfort and safety and shall be maintained in clean and sanitary and first class mechanical condition at all times and comply with all applicable federal, state or local laws.

(b)

All motor vehicles used for the purpose of providing ambulance service hereunder shall be equipped according to the current federal, state and local standards as may be updated from time to time by the firemedic division of the fire department subject to approval by the fire chief.
